Terms of Service
Metarb connects backers with creator campaigns. Backing carries delivery and payment risks, sales are final subject to mandatory legal rights, and participation is limited to eligible adults aged 21 or older.
Who operates Metarb?#
Metarb is operated by Metarb Studio, registered in New York. These Terms describe the conditions for using Metarb and backing campaigns.
For account, payment, campaign or complaint questions, contact hello@metarb.com.
Who can participate?#
You must be at least 21 years old and legally able to enter into the transactions you undertake. Use accurate account and delivery information, keep access to your email secure, and do not share sign-in codes.
Metarb excludes participation from Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia and Syria. Do not use Metarb from an excluded country or to evade applicable restrictions. Participation must also be lawful where you are located.
What does campaign backing mean?#
Read the campaign description, selected package, included items, price, estimated delivery and stated risks before paying. A contribution without a reward does not purchase a physical item. A reward package covers the items described for that package.
Campaign goals and backing amounts are expressed in US dollars. Supporting a campaign does not guarantee its success, production, delivery date or the value of a reward. Review by Metarb is not a guarantee of a creator's performance.
Creators are responsible for accurate campaign information, rights to the material they provide, and communicating progress, delivery plans and material changes. Backers are responsible for reviewing those disclosures before participating.
How do Bitcoin and Shop Balance payments work?#
Bitcoin backing requires at least US$10. Follow the amount, destination and payment window shown on the invoice. Your own Bitcoin wallet may charge a network fee. Bitcoin transfers are not ordinarily reversible, and sending funds to the wrong address or on an unsupported network can result in loss.
An invoice is not a completed backing merely because it has been opened or payment has been initiated. Bitcoin backing counts after the required payment has been verified as settled. Bitcoin prices can move between the time you view a campaign and the time you pay.
Existing members can use sufficient Shop Balance for backing, including amounts below US$10. Successful Shop Balance payments settle immediately. Shop Balance and Current Balance are separate internal, USD-denominated account balances; they are not personal Bitcoin wallets.
Transfers to another member debit your Current Balance and credit the recipient's Shop Balance. Transfers to yourself are not supported. Shop Balance is used for platform purchases and does not have a withdrawal or conversion-back facility. Check the recipient and amount before confirming a transfer.
Are payments refundable?#
All sales are final. Metarb does not offer a general voluntary cancellation or change-of-mind refund. This does not exclude or limit any refund, remedy or other right that applicable law does not allow to be waived.
Partial Bitcoin payments do not complete backing. A late payment can complete backing if it is fully paid and verified as settled. When an invoice is overpaid, only the intended backing amount counts toward the campaign and product allocation; the excess is not automatically refunded or converted into additional backing.
Campaign refunds and payment-exception refunds are not automatic. Contact hello@metarb.com about an incorrect, partial, excess or disputed payment, or a campaign that has not delivered. Include the relevant campaign and payment reference, but never a sign-in code or wallet secret. Contacting us requests a review; it is not a promise of a refund or recovery.
How do physical rewards, shipping and sellback work?#
Estimated delivery dates are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates. Production, logistics and destination restrictions can delay or prevent delivery. Review the campaign's package and delivery information rather than assuming shipping or import costs are included in the backing price.
When a campaign opens physical-reward fulfillment, eligible settled purchases can be covered by one recorded shipping or sellback choice for that campaign. Review the displayed amount and your address before submitting; the service does not provide a self-service change of that choice.
Shipping can require the displayed additional shipping fee, paid from Current Balance or, when offered, Bitcoin. A Bitcoin shipping payment must be verified before the choice is finalized. Shipping is unavailable to excluded destinations.
Where sellback is offered, the amount is based on eligible product backing and the campaign's stated sellback margin. It credits Current Balance instead of shipping those rewards. Excess Bitcoin payments do not increase the eligible product amount.
Sellback is available only before three calendar months have elapsed from the campaign's fulfillment start. It is not an automatic campaign refund, an unconditional buyback guarantee or a guaranteed investment return.
What should partners understand about earnings?#
A referral or account registration does not by itself guarantee earnings. Partner commissions depend on eligible settled activity and the applicable qualification, approval and holding conditions.
Pending amounts are not immediately available to spend or withdraw. Earning limits and forfeiture conditions can affect whether activity results in a payable amount. Do not treat displayed activity or an anticipated commission as guaranteed income.
Do not make misleading earnings, investment, delivery or regulatory-approval claims when referring others. You remain responsible for any tax obligations that apply to your participation.
When can Current Balance be withdrawn?#
An eligible member can request a withdrawal from available Current Balance to a supported Bitcoin mainnet address. Requests are recorded in US dollars and reserve the requested amount, making it unavailable for other spending.
Withdrawal requests become due at the end of the calendar month in UTC and are processed administratively. The due date is not a promise of immediate Bitcoin receipt. A displayed USD amount is not a fixed quantity of Bitcoin, and exchange-rate changes can affect its Bitcoin value.
A failed or cancelled withdrawal restores the reserved amount to Current Balance; this is distinct from a refund of a campaign purchase. Completed withdrawals carry a Bitcoin transaction reference. Verify the destination carefully: an incorrect address can make recovery impossible.
For the conversion and fee details applicable to your intended withdrawal, or a delayed or disputed withdrawal, contact hello@metarb.com before proceeding. These Terms do not promise a particular conversion rate, a fee-free payout or a guaranteed processing time.
What conduct is not permitted?#
Do not use Metarb for fraud, unlawful goods or activity, impersonation, infringement, misleading promotion, harassment or attempts to interfere with other people's accounts or the service.
Only provide campaign material you are entitled to use. Published campaign information and media can be viewed and copied by the public. Do not include confidential or unnecessary personal information in material intended for publication.
How can a complaint or dispute be raised?#
Start by emailing hello@metarb.com with a clear description and the relevant account, campaign or transaction reference so the issue can be reviewed.
New York is the designated location for arbitration of disputes. Arbitration remains subject to applicable law and the requirements for an enforceable arbitration agreement. Nothing in these Terms removes a mandatory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Metarb does not promise uninterrupted service, campaign success, guaranteed earnings or recovery of an irreversible Bitcoin payment. These statements do not exclude any responsibility or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
