The story

Many professional meetings produce important details that are difficult to reconstruct later: a client instruction, a valuation assumption, a legal discussion, a decision owner, or a due date. Notes taken during the conversation can be incomplete, while a phone can be distracting, unavailable, or unsuitable for confidential work. MeetingMic Mini is being developed as a dedicated, visible recorder for meetings that need a clearer record and a practical path from audio to follow-up. The proposed device is a pocket-sized standalone recorder. It is intended to capture multi-speaker meeting audio to encrypted local storage without requiring a phone during recording. A visible recording indicator and a separate consent indicator are central to the product identity. The device is not positioned for hidden recording. Users remain responsible for obtaining consent and following recording, privacy, employment, and data-handling rules that apply in their jurisdiction. After a recording, MeetingMic Mini is intended to organize the conversation into a transcript, summary, decisions, and action items. The product is aimed at consultants, lawyers, appraisers, executives, and teams handling confidential meetings. These outputs are working materials, not a substitute for reviewing source audio, professional judgment, legal advice, or formal records. Speech recognition can make mistakes, particularly with overlapping speakers, accents, low volume, specialist terminology, or unsupported languages. Microphone performance, battery duration, local storage capacity, export options, processing time, and language coverage will be specified and tested during development rather than assumed here.
